Arrival of our baby, Nora

It was late February and our baby, Nora, decided to arrive into this world. It was one of the most beautiful things we both ever experienced. The emotions were unexplainable and we felt blessed to have her decided to choose us as parents.

We did a few preparations for our baby's arrival. We hand made a swing, we hand-made a mobile, and we stitched our own changing cloth and bag for the reusable cotton diapers. After a bit of thinking, we realised that we don't really need a lot for the baby. We just needed something to carry (we borrowed a baby sling), we borrowed some used clothes, and we had a small mat for the baby to sleep on. We used cotton diapers. We washed them everyday and dried them. Food was mothers milk. We wanted our baby to have the same simplistic and minimalistic life that we were living. And we were very happy to be able to provide our baby a safe, secure, loving, and healthy environment without having to buy a lot of things or spend a lot of money.

Having a baby at home soon felt very normal and we almost forgot how we felt without a baby at home. We were excited to explore the world with Nora and show the love and diversity around the world to her.
